Our team of industry experts in Cannabis Act regulatory navigation requires an associate to join our Quality Assurance team. Be part of craft cannabis innovation in product development, design best practices for cultivation Good Production Practice, inform laboratory testing results, guide record keeping for processing to end-product, health and safety standard compliance, and develop staff training. You and your team will help support the establishment of facility SOPs, policies and planning to ensure operations are compliant with applicable Cannabis Act regulations, as well as GMP requirements with global product distribution outlooks.
Teaches, adopts, and overseas measures that assures control, compliance, reproducibility and reliability of cannabis processing, manufacturing of goods and testing processes.
Innovate data management and record keeping for cannabis processing within the edibles and beverages product development and manufacturing spaces.
Write and review documentation appropriate for Good Production Practice (GPP) and standard operating procedures (SOPs) that will accompany operational requirements for cannabis licensed production facilities that are compliant with Health Canada regulations.
Supports the National Quality Manager in Health Canada inquiries, inspections, and audits
Maintain working knowledge of all current regulatory changes within the industry and ensure processes are adjusted and communicated as necessary
To maintain and authorize record keeping processes for the company’s Quality Management System
Develop and optimize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for client services; ensure all SOPs remain up-to-date and are reviewed on a regular basis
Provide guidance to all staff on any regulatory compliance issues
Comply with document handling policies and controls in the company’s CRM and ERP inventory tracking systems
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Quality Assurance professional skilled in GMP work as a technical discipline
Education: Minimum BSc, in biological sciences, pharmacy, and/or graduate certificate in regulatory and quality operations
+3 years of experience in regulatory affairs related to the ACMPR, MMAR, Cannabis Act for cultivation or processing, HACCP regulated environments
Working knowledge of sanitation and quality control laboratory testing requirements for cannabis or food inspection safety
Working knowledge of GMP Regulations and appropriate international standards.
Excellent proficiency in English writing and communication on teams participating in licensing project management and customer service
Knowledge of major CRM software and databases an asset
Knowledge of plant chemistry, extraction systems and chromatographic. techniques are considered assets.
